Six people died and six others were injured after a Metroliner commuter plane crashed in fog at Cork Airport.

The business aircraft was carrying 10 passengers and 2 crew from Belfast City Airport on 10 February 2011 when the tragedy occurred.

The plane, a Manx2.com service, crash-landed on a runway at Cork Airport on its third attempt to land in foggy conditions.

Flights in and out of Cork airport were cancelled or diverted to Shannon.

President Mary McAleese and Taoiseach Brian Cowen said their thoughts and prayers were with all those affected by the crash.
