Likely to date back to the 13th century, the banner of the Kingdom of Galicia is the oldest Galician flag. Featuring a Holy Grail, it fell into disuse after the kingdom of Galicia was dissolved in 1833. The Holy Grail was replaced by the modern Galician flag in the late 19th century.
